Fall 2011 Recap
This fall has been another exciting one in my ski jumping career. I have spent a lot of time training in Lake Placid and have made three trips, the first to compete in a Grand Prix Event in Hinderzarten Germany, as well as events in Courchevel, France and Einsiedeln, Switzerland. The second trip was to compete in a World Cup event in Trondheim, Norway. The third trip to compete in the second round of US Nationals on the normal hill in Fox Grove IL. The final competition of the fall season was Lake Placid's own Flaming Leaves Festival. Overall I am happy with my performance this far and know that I am still recovering from my collarbone injury this summer. I look forward to training for the next couple of weeks before heading off to Europe for another competitive tour.
This fall also saw some great fundraising efforts, beginning with USASJ's 24 Hours of Flight fundraiser in Illinois. Through this event over $20,000 was raised to go to USASJ funds.
Additionally I hosted a private event at the Blue Moon Cafe the weekend of Flaming Leaves and was able to raise some funds for my own travels with the help of some great friends and family who came out to support me! Thanks again to everyone who was there and to everyone out there supporting me. Stay tuned for what will surely be an exciting season.
