Summer 2011
July 20th 2011--Well the summer is off to an interesting start. I began the summer training in Lake Placid with some of my USASJ teammates and coach Casey Colby. At the end of June we headed to New Hampshire to check in with the Alpine Clinic--one of our sponsors--for some training tips, physical testing and medical advice. One of the team activities we participated in was a day of mountain biking. Unfortunately during this trip I took a fall and broke my collar bone. I have been on the mend for the past weeks, and am now heading to Park City, Utah to train for and compete in the National Championships on the large hill. After the competition we will head to Europe for a short trip and to compete in some competitions over there. I look forward to competing in Park City and Europe and to compete in the normal hill National Championships in Chicago in early October. I am especially excited to return home to Lake Placid to compete in the Flaming Leaves Festival. Hopefully I will be able to rebound quickly from my injury and be ready to compete at the highest level for the rest of the fall season and into the winter season.
Thanks again for staying updated on my progress and I hope that my supporters can make it out to some of my events this fall!
