Happy New Year! I know its been some time since updating the website but it has been a very busy fall and early winter season, thank for the support throughout it all. I am currently home for a few days for the first time since October before I head back to finish up the World Cup Season. It has been an interesting season to say the least. I was overall happy with the end of the summer season, and tying with teammate Anders for the National Championship in Park City in Utah on the Big Hill and coming in a respectable 3rd on the Normal Hill. I also was pleased with my European Performances this fall and with wins on both days of the Flaming Leaves Competition on my hometown hill in October. The weekend of Flaming Leaves we also hosted a fundraiser event in Saranac Lake, which was well attended and very successful and I have many people to thank for that!! I have been continuing my online education through DeVry University and am enjoying my classes in Business, Graphic Design, and other introductory courses. DeVry has been a great sponsor to Olympic Athletes everywhere by providing free tuition for their online classes while we are on the road competing and training. The early winter season has kicked off with Anders Johnson, MacKenzie Boyd-Clowes and I representing Team North America on the World Cup Circuit. This is a new circuit for us and we truly are competing with the best jumpers in the world! Although it has been tough, and I often find myself just off the cusp on qualifying for competition, the season has been one of inspiration. Jumping against the best in the world has really made me step up my game in many ways. My jumping is becoming more and more consistent and I am continuing to improve on my technique with every passing competition. Our time spent at the Four Hills Competitions in Obserstdorf, Garmisch, Innsbruck, and Bischofshofen was absolutely exciting. Although I only qualified for the final competition in Bischofshofen (and narrowly missed the points!!) it was very exciting to jump in front of 20,000 plus spectators! I am enjoying traveling with Clint and my teammates and we are even getting some fun mixed in with our packed schedule-- we had three great days of Alpine Skiing in Gstaad around the Christmas Holiday. I am now home for about a week for some rest and family time before we head back to finish off the season. We head next to Sapporo, Japan- one of my favorite hills, before continuing on to some more competitions in Europe. I look forward to continuing to move forward and hope to see some top thirty results in the coming months. I want to thank you all for your continued support, and hope that you enjoy more up to date information on my Facebook page. Send me a message or e-mail, I'd love to hear from you!
